Who Is The StatsGuru?
I grew up in the Windsor/Detroit area and have been a life long fan of the Lions, Tigers, Wings and Pistons. I have no second favorite teams. My Father took me to games of all the professional teams in Detroit from a very early age and sports have been one of my greatest passions ever since.
I started playing Fantasy Football in 1993. In 1995 I began organizing a local, 12 team league that some of the founding members are still participating in today. Draft Day is more anticipated than Christmas Day for most of the owners in our league. I also play annually at NFL.com.
This September, my best friend and I will be entering our first ever World Championship of Fantasy Football in Las Vegas. We will be writing about our experiences and opinions on the event at Football Stats Guru.
Over the years I have always wrote a weekly column and sent it out with our weekly updates. Am I a professional writer? Not so much. Does my passion for Fantasy Football along with my knowledge of the game and love of writing run deep? It certainly does. I love the game of football and the Fantasy Games that go along with it.
Most people dread the end of the NFL Season. We do as well, but it also signals the start of a new season for us. We research and watch player movement 365 days a year. Our insight into the game is from a Fantasy Football perspective in this BLOG. We state the facts without overstating the obvious, we dig a little deeper for diamonds in the rough and stay up to date on all 32 teams on an equal basis.
We sincerely hope that you find footballstatsguru.com to be a useful tool as you prepare for Draft Day and the 2008 Fantasy Football Season. Further to that, we hope you will check in on a weekly basis during the season and that we can help you to victory in your favorite league.
Fantasy Forever!
